JOB: FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER

SALARY: 35-40K

LOCATION: LEEDS, WEST YORKSHIRE

You will play a key role within the finance team providing business partnering support to the wider finance function and across numerous internal stakeholders. You will be provided with ongoing training and support to give you the best opportunity to progress your career.


Based from their brand new premises on the East side of Leeds, they are easily accessible from the motorway network. They also offer a truly hybrid approach, giving you the flexibility of some working from home should you wish.


Specific Requirement:


As part of a small and agile finance team, you will be a conduit between finance and the business including forecasting and budgeting, analysis of company trends, supporting other departments with their operational processes, and ad-hoc support as the business requires. Your specific remit will include:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business, its stakeholders, and deliverables.
  • Support in annual budget planning and monthly latest estimate processes.
  • Build strong working relationships with other business departments, providing insight and business intelligence to support financial decision making and planning.
  • Develop a cost control mindset within the Group.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to drive efficiency and process improvements across the business.
  • Manage suppliers and processing of weekly payment runs.
  • Analyse invoices to ensure accuracy of cost allocations.
  • Take ownership of the weekly bank reconciliation and support with the end-to-end month end process.
  • Credit card postings and statement reconciliation.
  • Support in preparing analysis of the monthly results.
  • Support in administration of financial processes such as commissions, expenses processing, weekly cash reporting, dealing with invoice and payment queries.
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities as business requires.

 

Skills & Experience Required:


  • Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACMA/ACA/AAT.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with a volume of data to produce meaningful information.
  • Good understanding of financial reporting standards.
  • Knowledge of Sage packages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the willingness to be hands on across a small finance team.
  • Adaptable with a flexible approach to work.
  • Thrive in a fast paced, task focussed environment with the ability to work independently to tight deadlines.
  • Self-sufficient and proactive in the continual advancement of your knowledge.
  • A true team player with an interest in getting to know the team around them.
  • Ability to provide a professional service both internally and externally.
