JOB: FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

SALARY: 30-35K + SIGNIFICANT BONUS

LOCATION: LEEDS, WEST YORKSHIRE

The Business & Opportunity:

They have enjoyed rapid and significant growth, mainly organically, but also via acquisition. Working closely with their clients to create digital products and services, they have an impressive customer base and ensure people are at the core of everything they do. It’s due to this continued growth, they have created a new key role as Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will help drive efficiencies, improve reporting, prepare accurate statements and conduct cost and revenue analyses.

Specific Requirement:

• Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities);

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements);

• Organise internal audits;

• Assist the Head of Finance in the preparation of forecasts and budgets;

• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies;

• Analyse financial trends;

• Perform month-end and year-end close processes alongside the management accountant.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Personality traits to fit in with a dynamic, fast paced and ever changing environment;

• Financial Accounting, regulatory and compliance skills;

• Experience of year-end and statutory accounts;

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software;

• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures and experience of improving reporting;

• Excellent maths skills with an attention to detail;

• ACA or ACCA Qualified from either practice or industry. However, non-qualified/part-qualified/finalists will be considered.
